A reader writes:
"Bleeding for Allah" is one of those rare books that successfully evaluates the complex life of the self-styled prophet Muhammad and holistically applies that to the ultimate militant development of Islam. Through a careful study of the Koran as well as an incredible review of medieval and modern history, the author concisely develops his difficult-to-dispute conclusions that most American elected officials avoid discussing at all costs. Aurelius also profoundly addresses America's subsequent "political paralysis", "discrimination paranoia" and outright denial of the proven facts regarding Islam and the current, painful Islamification of Europe.
Aurelius clearly illustrates how the "Pragmatic Prophet" achieved, often through brutal means, his worldly goals in the 7th century. He shows how Muhammad's messages and methods were then codified by others into the Koran, that has, in part, formed the basis for the past 13 centuries of Muslim terror that the world has experienced.
"Bleeding" takes the reader on a seriously provocative, sometimes overly bloody journey through time. It is this difficult, yet accurate voyage that has Muslims incensed throughout the Middle East. A quick internet search shows the level of resentment that this book has generated in the Islamic world.
While the author does not exempt Christians from their own historical misdeeds by giving examples of Christian savagery such as in the First Crusade, much more discussion is given on modern events such as the recent Hindu genocide by Muslims in Bangladesh and the current human suffering in the Sudan. But the most graphic, indeed morbid text is reserved for the vast Armenian genocide that occurred in Turkey during WWI. This reading is certainly not for anyone with a weak stomach.
